Queensbay Mall is ushering into the New Year 2016 with a stellar burst of fireworks, partying and a lot of fun.
The night will kick off from 7.00pm onwards with fun games and entertainment indoor and outdoor, live band and non-stop music by DJ Tchuno, busking and fire dance street performances, gold man live statue and children’s inflatable games. The countdown party will be fired up as we watch the night sky ignite with glorious fireworks display overlooking the sea at midnight.

This year, Straits Quay Retail Marina will be having a New Year Countdown by its picturesque marina from 8pm onwards. We add excitement to the countdown party with the appearance of well-loved deejay Ramsey Westwood, a LED Modern and Robot Dance that features unique hip hop dance choreography and the ever talented Mans Dreamers band that will count down to year 2016. Start the beginning of the year as majestic fireworks sparkle over the night sky by the marina at the stroke of midnight.
The Penang Waterfront Countdown To 2016

The Penang Waterfront New Year Countdown is a yearly flagship countdown program at the Karpal Singh Drive, since the year 2014/15. The overwhelming crowd turn-up on its debut year was estimated to be 10,000 strong. Exciting programs led to the countdown at midnight, such as celebrity stage performances, super cars display, dances, mascots appearance, photography competition, face painting, along with a 100-stall flea market. The celebration also saw the releasing of 3000 well-wishes helium balloons, culminating with a six minute fireworks display at midnight.
